Sharing New Harmonies with Didcot Community Gospel Choir!

It was very exciting to visit Didcot Community Gospel Choir last week to hear them rehearsing one of my Christmas songs. This was the song I composed in the lead up to Christmas 2024 called ‘Holy Baby Boy’. The request to put it into 3 part harmony arrived in June, and it was wonderful to hear this friendly local choir sing it in gorgeous harmony. Their warm, beautiful voices and generous welcome made it a standout early Christmas experience for me and I can’t wait to hear them sing it again on December 14th!

This is my first experience of collaborating with a community choir and crafting fresh harmony for a piece that I originally wrote for a local boy to sing. I was still smiling about it the next morning, and am really grateful for this special musical opportunity.
