Sharing Songs at Clergy Quiet Days in Rural Oxfordshire

Earlier this week it was a particular pleasure to share my songs as people arrived into Quiet Days at St Peter & St Paul’s Deddington and at All Saints Sutton Courtenay. The retreat days were led by Nick Gallant, and themed around the temptations of Jesus in the wilderness. I found the input very helpful, thinking about Jesus and his responses to distortion, and whilst on a short walk found myself absorbed by the beautiful sounds of a robin- whilst the crows were also cackling nearby! It reminded me to listen out for sounds of God’s goodness even whilst there is so much ‘cacophony’ in our world.

I shared songs from my album and a new one around the theme of temptation- ‘O Lord come close we pray’
